Ex-Change Parts Buys Surplus Airbus H225 Super Puma Helicopter Stock Inventory

Helicopter industry news outlet Helihub reported that Ex-Change Parts AB has finalised an agreement with one of the world’s largest Helicopter operator, which facilitates Ex-Change Parts AB’s purchase of the operator’s worldwide surplus EC225 Super Puma stock inventory. This purchase will include more than 10 000 EC225 line items, equivalent to four 40-foot containers of inventories, including but not limited to mission equipment, rotor blades, components, engine parts, spare parts, and consumables. The EC225, now renamed as the H225, is the latest member of the Airbus Helicopters’ Super Puma family, which the operator had up to 20 EC225 in their fleet. Logistics of the purchased inventory are currently in progress, with the final shipment estimated to arrive in Ex-Change Parts AB’s facilities by end of March 2022.

Göran Enström, Business Development Manager at Ex-Change Parts AB says: “As the world’s market leader in AS332Mk1 and AS332L2 spares and components distribution, we take the next natural step in expanding our parts distribution support into the next generation of Super Puma platforms with this purchase of EC225 Super Puma surplus inventory. This purchase not only complements our recent part-out projects on the same platform, it also complements the natural progression of our organisation’s strategy, with the EC225 Super Puma platform as the core strategic focus.”

The Airbus Helicopters H225 (previously Eurocopter EC225 Super Puma) is a long-range passenger transport helicopter developed by Eurocopter as the next generation of the civilian Super Puma family. It is a twin-engined aircraft and can carry up to 24 passengers along with two crew and a cabin attendant, dependent on customer configuration. The helicopter is marketed for offshore support and VIP passenger transport duties, as well as public service missions. The civil-orientated EC225 has a military counterpart, which was originally designated as the Eurocopter EC725; it was rebranded in 2015 as the H225M. In 2015, the EC225 was formally renamed to the H225, in line with Eurocopter’s corporate rebranding as Airbus Helicopters.

Ex-Change Parts AB is a company that specializes in helicopter support as a surplus parts dealer. We stock, refurbish (exclusively with FAA- or EASA- approved component shops) and offer our products on an outright sales and exchange basis. As of today we stock more than 55,000 line items in our in-house warehouse in Borlänge, Sweden. Our inventory includes a wide range of parts, components, consumables and tools for Airbus Helicopters – SuperPuma, H225, Puma, Dauphin/H155, Colibri, Ecureuil among others, and Leonardo Helicopters AW139. Further, thanks to swift handling routines and absence of any export license in Sweden, we can guarantee short lead times.
