Fighter aircraft are fixed-wing military aircraft designed primarily for air-to-air combat. In military conflict, the role of fighter aircraft is to establish air superiority of the battlespace. Domination of the airspace above a battlefield permits bombers and attack aircraft to engage in tactical and strategic bombing of enemy targets.

Airbus H145M Helicopter Successfully Fires Rafael Spike ER2 Anti-tank Guided Missile

Airbus has successfully performed the first firing demonstration of a Rafael Spike ER2 anti-tank guided missile from an H145M medium helicopter as part of the company’s wider effort to expand the scope and capability of the HForce generic ωєαρσиs system (GWS) package. The demonstration took place at the Cincu firing range in Brasov, Romania. Among those in attendance were delegations from Germany, North Macedonia and Serbia. So far, users of the H145M are Hungary (20 Helicopters), Germany (15), Serbia (9), Thailand (5) and Luxembourg (2). According to Airbus Helicopters, the helicopter will also be offered to the Romanian army. According to Airbus, as part of the so-called “derisking” phase, initial investigations were carried out in January at the Cincu firing range in Romania to assess the effects of the missile launch on the helicopter. US Army AH-64E V6 Apache Attack Helicopters Conduct Aerial Gunnery Drills in South Korea

U.S. Army 5th Squadron, 17th Cavalry Regiment and 4-2 Attack Battalion are conducting aerial gunnery, certifying their crews on AGM-114 Hellfire missiles, Hydra 70 rockets and 30mm canon at Rodriguez Live Fire Complex. Both units are using the latest AH-64E v6 Apache helicopter. The U.S. Army activated a new air cavalry squadron on 17 May, 2022, that will take on the permanent reconnaissance mission for the 2nd Infantry Division ROK-U.S. Combined Division. The activation of 5th Squadron, 17th Cavalry Regiment (5-17 ACS) as a permanent unit to 2nd Combat Aviation Brigade, will soon assume the mission of the current rotational squadron, 4th Squadron, 6th Cavalry Regiment, of being the primary reconnaissance element to the division. What Role Does Stealth Play In The Army’s Defiant X Helicopter?

Certainly, a cursory look at the airframe of a DEFIANT X appears to reveal a smooth and gradually curved or rounded radar evading external configuration.
